Derrubada n\u00e3o!<\/span> takes as its starting point the project of an indigenous artist from the Pernambuc, Edson Barrus<\/a>, of the Atikum-Um\u00e3 tribe, which aims to transform a piece of land into an ecological sanctuary. (see the site http:\/\/projetoimburana.com\/en<\/a>)
\nThe project developed following the artist’s reencounter with his people, the Atikum-Um\u00e3.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This land is located in the Caatinga, which is both a region and a vegetation characteristic of the \u00ab\u00a0nordeste\u00a0\u00bb, formed by thorny shrubs that lose their leaves during the dry season, by cactus and herbs. <\/span>Derrubada n\u00e3o! wishes to keep trace of this experience, according to complex audio-visual modalities, working from the simultaneous disjunction and juxtaposition of different capture moments of the terrain and its surroundings. The film works with composite images in which the transcription of voices on the screen plays an important role. The music was composed by Thomas K\u00f6ner with whom I had worked in the past on different projects.
\nThis project benefited from an artist grant<\/p>\n

\nLe projet s’est d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 suite au rapprochement de l’artiste avec son peuple, les indiens Atikum-Um\u00e3, Ce terrain est situ\u00e9e dans la Caatinga, qui est aussi bien r\u00e9gion que v\u00e9g\u00e9tation est caract\u00e9ristique du \u00ab\u00a0nordeste\u00a0\u00bb, il est form\u00e9e d’arbustes \u00e9pineux perdants leurs feuilles lors de la saison s\u00e8che, de cactus et d’herbes. Derrubada n\u00e3o! souhaite t\u00e9moigner de cette exp\u00e9rience, selon des modalit\u00e9s audio-visuelles complexes, travaillant \u00e0 partir de la disjonction et de la juxtaposition simultan\u00e9e de temps de capture diff\u00e9rents du terrain et de son entour.<\/p>\n

Le film travaille selon des images composites dans lesquelles la transcription des voix \u00e0 l’\u00e9cran tient une place importante. ?La musique a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9e par Thomas K\u00f6ner avec lequel j’avais travaill\u00e9 au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 90 et d\u00e9but 2000 sur plusieurs projets d’installations et performances.
