The central part of each section of the films is based on a transcription of a Bach invention for two voices. The four screens underscores this paradigm in so far as one is always the simultaneous reflection of the visual development of the other, regardless of the position of the reels (left or right) the technique of inversion of a theme so often used in music.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The use of mirroring deliberately sidesteps the question of the reality of representation. It no longer has any importance, now that we\u2019re in the domain of the reflected image, of imitation. The four images reflect one another in a constant back and forth, mimicking to a certain extent the development of the (fake) pans which comprise the film. The pans metaphorically evoke, if only superficially, the keyboard.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00c0 partir d\u2019une transcription d\u2019une fugue de Bach, son expansion dans une forme \u00e0 quatre voix. Mise en miroir d\u2019une image, de mouvements et de s\u00e9quences sur un paysage champ\u00eatre qui se dissout dans sa multiplication. Renvois cin\u00e9matographiques \u00e9voquant les compositions classiques de la musique baroque et de son recours au d\u00e9veloppement fugu\u00e9 en miroir et en inversion.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Avec\u00a0<i>Quatr\u2019un<\/i>\u00a0nous sommes en pr\u00e9sence de quatre images qui chacune mire celle attenante ; horizontalement et verticalement.
